So, I was playing around with things like tags and stuff yesterday, and I was looking at my My Fic tag and thought, "Hang on a sec, that doesn't look right. Isn't there a fic missing?"

Um. After some extensive searching, turned out there was. Back in MARCH (I am an idiot) there was the [livejournal.com profile] triatha_ron, for which I wrote a Gen fic about Ron.

It's... not one of the my favourites of the things that I've written, mostly because I ran out of time at the end and didn't quite manage to write as much as I wanted. Maybe one day if I have a dearth of plotbunnies (HAHA LIKELY) I will go back and fix it.

But anyways, here for your reading pleasure:

Story title: Cold Comfort
Author name: Šárka, [livejournal.com profile] sarka
Rating: R for violence. No smut.
Pairings/Characters: Ron Weasley, two original characters, no pairings.
Warnings: Lots of people are already dead. And the story focuses on a murder investigation, so there is a murder, and a graphic description of a spell.
Length: 7115 words.
Disclaimer: The world of Harry Potter belongs to J.K.Rowling and her publishers, as well as Warner Bros. The following story is for my own and other's entertainment; no money is being made.
Author notes: Thanks, as always, to [livejournal.com profile] hildigunnur, for being a sounding board, and to [livejournal.com profile] salixbabylon for cleaning up my comma-sprees, curtailing overuse of adjectives and otherwise making my writing readable.

Summary: Decades after Voldemort's downfall, a young journalist out for a story discovers that the only comfort available to Ron Weasley is of the cold variety.

Title: Elíasar saga, or 'The Saga of Elijah', Chapter 3/?
Author: [livejournal.com profile] sarka
Rating: This chapter R, for mentions of violence and character death. And also a kiss.
Pairings: Nothing yet, but will develop into Orlijah.
Warning: Character death in this chapter. Two, actually, though one of them is relatively insignificant. No gory details, so don't worry about that, and it's not a main character.
Disclaime: If they were mine, they'd wear eyeliner at all times.

Summary: A viking AU. Elijah is the Lord of a homestead in newly pioneered Iceland around 900 AD, when his uncle comes home from a voyage bringing treasure, spices and exotic slaves.
Notes: Authors notes are made as they are required, through very interactive footnotes that were a pain to code. A link will take you to the note elsewhere in the document, and a link there will return you to what you were reading.

Author's note: I apologize most profusely for the long, long wait for this chapter. I got distracted by several things, including an exchange student program in a different country. I've had a new, more thorough beta for the entire thing, so the first two chapters have been minimally updated as well. Eternal love goes to [livejournal.com profile] salixbabylon, for the aforementioned help. Now, I hope you like it; you've waited long enough!

Also, note that my story is eligible in the WiP category for the [livejournal.com profile] slashy_oscars... /self-pimp.

So, the fic I finished the other day? The one I've been complaining about for aeons, because it required me to rework almost the entire plot of the Harry Potter series?

That one?

Well, now it's been through beta, twice, and I've posted it. I've even got my first review. So:

House Colours

Title: This story doesn't really have a title, although I suppose if you need one, you could call it "Dancing".
Fandom: Firefly.
Pairing: Inara/Kaylee - a smidgen of Mal/Simon if you squint.
Rating: R
Word Count: 2642
Summary: Kaylee makes Inara feel like a teenager again.
Disclaimer: None of it's mine.
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] mgsmurf for the [livejournal.com profile] aintappropriate challenge. It might be too sappy for you, I don't know. By the time inspiration finally struck (this Friday) I was too far gone to worry too much, and concentrated instead on getting the fic done at all. This story did not come out easy - ergo, my wonderful but cruel beta, [livejournal.com profile] hildigunnur, had her work cut out for her. Also, apparently I skimp on punctuation marks. That one is new. I used to take commas where commas have never gone before. Thank you darling, for coming through every time :) Also, gratitude goes to Wikipedia, for redirecting me to an article about Céilidh when I searched for 'Kaylee', which was what finally made the story happen.

Smut week?

Ok. So a certain good friend of mine declared that this week is Smut Week, in protest to this.

In celebration of Smut Week, me and [livejournal.com profile] hildigunnur challenged each other to write something. Her challenge entry is over at her LJ.

She challenged me to write femslash, any pairing, in the Prefects bathroom.

So here it is. Rated R. Beware. Oh, and also, unbeta-ed. )

So there. It'll probably be up at Erised as soon as I've got someone to beta read it. Enjoy :)
