Ouch.

If your left shoulder and your right ankle hurt like hell, shouldn't it even out?

Try injuring your right wrist and left knee. Thus you will achieve true balance.

I'm afraid the computer says no.

Watch out for the shoulder pain. There was a patient who came in recently with an MRI which indicated a torn rotator cuff. The PA who examined him and saw the MRI result noted his pain was not consistant with a rotator cuff injury, although he could see the tear in the medical records. (The PA is a really brilliant clinician.)
A doctor later called it a case of "correct diagnosis, but immaterial". The PA correctly diagnosed the pain as a heart attack, and had the patient treated for his heart problems. Saved the man's life. So pay attention to your aches and pains (especially as you get older!)
