So, I was playing around with things like tags and stuff yesterday, and I was looking at my My Fic tag and thought, "Hang on a sec, that doesn't look right. Isn't there a fic missing?"

Um. After some extensive searching, turned out there was. Back in MARCH (I am an idiot) there was the [livejournal.com profile] triatha_ron, for which I wrote a Gen fic about Ron.

It's... not one of the my favourites of the things that I've written, mostly because I ran out of time at the end and didn't quite manage to write as much as I wanted. Maybe one day if I have a dearth of plotbunnies (HAHA LIKELY) I will go back and fix it.

But anyways, here for your reading pleasure:

Story title: Cold Comfort
Author name: Šárka, [livejournal.com profile] sarka
Rating: R for violence. No smut.
Pairings/Characters: Ron Weasley, two original characters, no pairings.
Warnings: Lots of people are already dead. And the story focuses on a murder investigation, so there is a murder, and a graphic description of a spell.
Length: 7115 words.
Disclaimer: The world of Harry Potter belongs to J.K.Rowling and her publishers, as well as Warner Bros. The following story is for my own and other's entertainment; no money is being made.
Author notes: Thanks, as always, to [livejournal.com profile] hildigunnur, for being a sounding board, and to [livejournal.com profile] salixbabylon for cleaning up my comma-sprees, curtailing overuse of adjectives and otherwise making my writing readable.

Summary: Decades after Voldemort's downfall, a young journalist out for a story discovers that the only comfort available to Ron Weasley is of the cold variety.

So last Saturday it was [livejournal.com profile] hildigunnur's birthday. Now, Hildi is the person who is most likely to be directly responsible for my fic writing - regardless of the fact that she's responsible for introducing me to fanfiction in the first place. So I wrote a story as per her specifications ;)

It's an interesting thing, because during my time in the HP fandom, I've written huge amounts of Ron/Harry stuff, but never anything that I posted. They've either fizzled out and died, or they've been written to scratch a particular itch.

This story was kind of meant to scratch a particular itch, too. Except then it grew a plot. I hate it when fic does that ;)

So, happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] hildigunnur! I am proud to be your friend.

Title: Saving Harry Thing, Part 1 of 2 (too many words to fit in one post).
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Ron/Harry. Mentions of past Ron/Hermione.
Word Count: 11.766 words. I just. What?
Disclaimer: The world of Harry Potter belongs to J.K.Rowling and her publishers, as well as Warner Bros. The following story is for my own and other's entertainment; no money is being made.
Author notes: Um. There's quite a few of them, this time around. [livejournal.com profile] doctoraicha, [livejournal.com profile] second_batgirl, [livejournal.com profile] seviet, [livejournal.com profile] stereom and [livejournal.com profile] vagabondpenguin were all important in helping me nail this particular vat of jello to this particular tree. Then there's [livejournal.com profile] salixbabylon, who holds my hand and fixes my punctuation and tells me my smut is hot. They're all the best!

Summary: Ron tried to keep it in the abstract – like, he was allowed to realize that Harry was attractive, as long as he wasn't attracted.
Feedback: Is better than fresh made cookies.

The [livejournal.com profile] percy_ficathon has had the masterlist up for a while, so it's been a bit since I was allowed to own up to this one. I was distracted, that's all ;)

So I come back from a month in internet exile, bearing fic.

Title: Scent
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: Harry/Remus, mention of Ron/Hermione.
Rating: NC-17 (Shameless PWP)
Word count: 1722 words.
Warnings: None.
Disclaimer: Harry Potter belongs to JK Rowling and her publishers. I'm making no money.

This fic was written for [livejournal.com profile] salixbabylon, who went above and beyond her beta duties while I was working on my Percy Ficathon fic, and basically cheered me through it. She requested Harry/Remus, with a Virgin!Harry and something to do with Remus' sense of smell.

Title: Cool Water
Pairing: Harry/Remus
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: None, except perhaps for an attempt at stylism.
Disclaimer: Harry Potter belongs to JK Rowling and various other entities. I'm justin having fun.
Author's note: Written for [livejournal.com profile] salixbabylon in gratitude for her beta of my monstrously long fic, House Colours.

So, the fic I finished the other day? The one I've been complaining about for aeons, because it required me to rework almost the entire plot of the Harry Potter series?

That one?

Well, now it's been through beta, twice, and I've posted it. I've even got my first review. So:

House Colours

*beams*
sarka: (Kaylee OMG)
So, I'm not updating to tell you anything about what I'm doing today (and I'm sure that if you knew what I might write, most of you would be happy about it...)

No, I'm updating to tell you two things: First that today the authors of the Remix/Redux IV were announced and that I am now allowed to tell you that I wrote this fic for it:

The Ties That Bind (The Brothers Blues Remix) - Sirius and Regulus, G - Sirius remembers his brother.

It's a remix from The Ties That Bind by destijl.

The second thing is that [livejournal.com profile] lyras remixed The Girl Who Looked at the Ocean, in a manner that is seriously impressing. Read her remix, The Girl Who Looked at the Ocean (The Linear Remix)! It's fantastic - she's played up Harry and downplayed Hermione, which gives a bit of a different perspective, and also she adds a couple of scenes that work wonderfully. It is very strange to read a remix of yourself, though - I kept feeling weirded out when the author used my words - but seriously, I'm very impressed, and very surprised because of my stories, this is the last one I expected a remixer to pick. Though I have to confess that there aren't that many...

Now, off I go, to write some more about currency crises. And on Tuesday, that will be OVER.

Title: The Girl Who Looked at the Ocean
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Harry/Hermione (yes, you read that right)
Summary: The ocean calms her when she thinks she can go on no longer. Its vastness is soothing and she loses herself in the waves, breathing in rythm with the tide.
Warnings: Character death, angst/darkfic, mental illness, suicide.
Author notes: All [livejournal.com profile] hildigunnur's fault. And yes, Icelanders, this was partially inspired by the song.
Endless gratitude goes to: [livejournal.com profile] jazzqueen for the beta.
Disclaimer: The world of Harry Potter belongs to J.K. Rowling. I make no money of this.
Other: Mum; If you're reading, this one is safe.

About a month ago, I signed up for the Percy ficathon. This is the result.

Title: Stockholm Syndrome.
Rating: I'd say this was a hard R or a mild NC-17
Pairing: Draco/Percy
Summary: Following all the rules doesn't always work.
Warnings: Angst/Darkfic, violence and very slight non-con.
Author notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] ifyouweremine for the Percy ficathon. The original challenge asked for Percy/Draco, darkfic, emotional instability.
Endless gratitude goes to: [livejournal.com profile] jazzqueen for the assistance, [livejournal.com profile] hildigunnur & [livejournal.com profile] queenriley for the encouragement and [livejournal.com profile] salixbabylon for the beta work. *hugs*
Disclaimer: The world of Harry Potter belongs to J.K. Rowling. I make no money of this.

Read 'Stockholm Syndrome'

I'm both extremely proud and extremely nervous about this one.

This story is specially written as a birthday present for [livejournal.com profile] ifihadameadow. Now, this is a pairing I never expected to write, ever.

Title: Hedonism
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Draco shows Harry an unexpected part of his... erm... personality.
Author notes: [livejournal.com profile] velvetchamber let me poke around in her brain to find the idea for this smutlet. Endless gratitude to my Über-fast beta, [livejournal.com profile] salixbabylon who got this on Friday and returned it on Saturday, despite me telling her that there was no hurry.
Warnings: None, just slash
Disclaimer: The world of Harry Potter belongs to JK Rowling. Nobody pays me to write this. (Unfortunately.)

Hedonism )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] ifihadameadow !!!!
sarka: (Default)
It is the 29th and this is the last day of the Ron Ficathon, so here's my story.

The challenge:
* Pairing - Ron/Draco
* One or two other requests you would like in your fic - Post-Hogwarts, cause
there aren't that many out there. I actually like Auror!Draco, but Auror!Ron
is sexy too.
* One restriction - as angsty and sexy as these two can be, but with an
eventual happy ending as it would only work in the Prince and Pauper world ;-)

Title: The Worst of Luck.
Author: Sárka
Written for: [livejournal.com profile] thywillbedone
Pairing: Ron/Draco.
Rating: Mild NC-17
Summary: "On occasion, Ron wondered whether there was any plausible reason for his phenomenal and persistent bad luck."
Warnings: This is my first ever slash with a rating above PG.
Notes: Ron and Draco are both aurors. I was trying to write this story in the middle of a bad case of writer's block. Therefore, much gratitute is owed to [livejournal.com profile] hildigunnur, [livejournal.com profile] queenriley and [livejournal.com profile] seviet for the support and encouragement. Also, a humongous thank you to my brilliant beta, [livejournal.com profile] salixbabylon and to [livejournal.com profile] icarusancalion for pointing me towards her :)

Smut week?

Nov. 2nd, 2003 04:17 am
sarka: (Default)
Ok. So a certain good friend of mine declared that this week is Smut Week, in protest to this.

In celebration of Smut Week, me and [livejournal.com profile] hildigunnur challenged each other to write something. Her challenge entry is over at her LJ.

She challenged me to write femslash, any pairing, in the Prefects bathroom.

So here it is. Rated R. Beware. Oh, and also, unbeta-ed. )

So there. It'll probably be up at Erised as soon as I've got someone to beta read it. Enjoy :)
